Plans are in place for our Sept. 30 – Oct. 1, 2022 50th Reunion Celebrations! Please read this update and share it with classmates whose names you don’t see in the email list above.
CHS Class of ’72 Reunion Dinner Information:
Our main event is the Reunion Dinner Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022 at the North Carolina State University Club, 4200 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh, NC 27606. We have the University Room reserved from 6:30 – 10:30 p.m.
Our dinner buffet is the top of the line from their Banquet selections, featuring three entrés, salads, vegetables, and dessert. There will be choices for carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores, including dishes reflecting Southern Cuisine -- especially for those of you who currently live out-of-state (bless your hearts). A Cash Bar will be provided.
The per-person price for the event is $50.00. This covers food, facility charges, and tax. Please make your check payable to “Nancy Jirtle” and write “CHS Reunion Dinner” on the “For” line of your check. I shall deposit all checks and write a single check from all of us to the North Carolina State University Club. It is their payment policy to receive one check per rental group for their services. CHS Class of ’72 Reunion Cary High School Varsity Football Game Information:
The day before our Reunion Banquet, classmates and guests are also invited to attend the Friday, Sept. 30, 2022 CHS Varsity Football Home Game at the Cary High School Stadium. The game will feature CHS vs. Holly Springs High School, and they will be celebrating the 2022 Hall of Fame class of CHS athletes at half time. CHS Class of ’72 members in attendance will be recognized by the announcer, too!
CHS Athletic Director Ryan Rodgers is pleased that we are coming, and says tickets are $8.00 each. All tickets must be purchased online through GoFan.co. We are planning on attending a Friday night Durham Bulls game and having a happy hour before it in Durham at Bar Virgile.v The Bulls game tickets are $12. We will also be having a Saturday evening event at McGregor Down Country Club which will cost each individual $50. The cost will cover heavy hors d'oeuvres as well as one free beverage. The rest of the drinks will be served at a cash bar.
Additionally we are planning on hosting a tour of the updated Cary High School on Saturday morning at 10:30am.

Dear Classmate:
We have scheduled our 50-year reunion for Saturday, September 28, 2013 from 4:00 pm until 10:00 pm at the Fairview Community Club, 4501 Ten-Ten Road, Apex, NC 27539, beside the Fairview Fire Station and near the intersection of Ten-Ten Road (NCSR 1010) and Holly Springs Road. Parking is limited to the front yard and a smallish parking lot in the rear so carpooling is encouraged. We also encourage you to bring a folding chair so you can enjoy the outside if weather permits. If you have internet access, you can Google the address and get a picture of the location and directions. Believe it or not it’s almost in the Cary town limits.
Dinner will be served at c. 6:00 p.m. and entertainment, with an emphasis on easy listening, will be provided by a trio of highly regarded local musicians. Beer, wine and soft drinks will be provided. All other libations will be BYO.
We emptied our bank account in 2008 so we are charging $30/person to hopefully have enough and maybe to put a little into reserve for future postage, reservations, etc.

FYI Cary High School has an alumni website organized by class year and it would be great if everyone would subscribe for purposes of future contacts and information.
