Served in US Submarine Force for 21.5 years in Nuclear Propulsion.
Locations included Hawaii, Washington, Connecticutt, and San Diegp.
Commands included:
USS Robert E Lee (Reactor Operator) USS Permit (Reactor Controls Division Leading Chief), USS Jefferson City (Engineering Department Master Chief), Submarine Sqaudron Three Staff (Nuclear Propulsion & Readiness Assistant - Reactor Controls), Submarine Squadron Eleven Staff (Engineering Readiness Assistant, and Nuclear Power Training Unit Instructor.

Steve entered the Naval Officer Candidate school @ Pensacola, FL, Later earned his flight wings for helicopter & flew the HM-53 for many years. He later returned to Instruct @ the Flight School @ Pensacola, FL. Upon leaving the Navy he flew commerically. His Memorial will be at the Community Hall in Mount Carmel, IA on April 9, 2011 @ 1 PM..

Our Carroll High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Carroll High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
