Navy, 21 Years

Served 21 years as a naval aviator and staff officer. Duty stations included Pensacola, Quonset Pt. RI, Annapolis, Korea, Jacksonville, Newport, RI, San Diego and Washington DC. Aircraft flown include, T-28 Trojan, S-2 Tracker and S-3 Viking from USS Wasp, USS Randolph, and USS Enterprise. Served on the staffs of the Superintendent US Naval Academy, Commander US Naval Forces Korea and the Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon. Following retirement from the Navy in 1985, Commander Orlosky served 15 years in the FAA leading a team developing air traffic controller and workforce technician training. He married Betty Kuharik in 1965. They have two married sons and four grandchildren and live in Fairfax Station VA.

Our Carmichaels High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Carmichaels High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Carmichaels are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
