Air Force, 20+ Years
I returned from Vietnam in Jan. 1967. Following my release from the hospital, in Sep., I came home for a visit, and no one would speak to me. Fresh deodorant and all, I tried once more a few years later. Same result. I have not returned in more than 40 years. I enjoyed the company of some truly wonderful people all those years ago. I still exchange felicitations each Christmas with Jean-Pierre Olivie. We have been friends since 1946.
