Daniel K. Holland
Class of 1979

Major Daniel K. Holland is the Director of Command and Control for the 92d Air Refueling Wing, Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington. The wing provides global reach airpower and deploys expeditionary forces in support of worldwide combat, contingency, and humanitarian requirements. The wing operates 35 KC-135 aircraft performing air refueling, airlift and aero
medical evacuation missions supporting United States and coalition contingency operations and U.S. Strategic Command strategic deterrence mission.
Major Holland directs all operational facets of the Air Operation Management Center. He leads a 21-person staff providing continuous mission monitoring, flow management, and coordination activities for all assigned KC-135 and all en route C-5, C-17, C-130, C-141, KC-10, and commercial aircraft. The Major graduated from California State University, Los Angeles in 1987 and received his commission through the Reserve Officers Training Corps. In HQ staff capacity, he has been assigned to the Numbered Air Force and served as Executive Officer at the Group level. He is a master navigator, having flown more than 2,600 hours in the T-37, T-38, T-41, T-43, KC-135 R/T, and E-3 A/B/C aircraft. He has logged over 530 combat and combat support flight hours on 48 sorties during operation Desert Storm.
Major Holland is married to the former Catherine A. Pironi of Belmont, California. They have one daughter, Nicole Noelle, a son, Daniel Kent, Jr. and an adoptive niece, Ariana.
