| About Me | I retired from teaching--high school, middle school--after a 35 year rollercoaster ride. Mostly great fun, great colleagues, great kids. I've lived in the San Joaquin Valley, in the unpretentious little town of Lockeford for most of that period. I'm surrounded by wine grape vineyards and walnut orchards. I share this gracious lifestyle with my wonderful wife and grandaughter. My two sons--real good guys-- and extended family live short driving distances away in neighboring communities. Most of our time is spent with family and friends in this area, though we do travel to Mexico each summer to visit my wife's family. I've become more acquainted with Mexico's rich cultural diversity over the years by making it a point to visit places of interest throughout this beautiful country.
