| About Me | I impulsively entered the Air Force in 1961 for a four-year enlistment, and it turned out to be one of the best things I’ve ever done. I was sent to Okinawa and Southeast Asia for two years, and later an airbase in Kansas. Through those four years, I got a number of sometimes-jolting, "wake up" calls about the fragility of life, and my need to learn to work within a team.
