Air Force, 20+ Years
Joined the Air Force Dec 7, 1959 and went to Lackland AFB for 11 weeks. Had to wait for a secret security clearance. Went to San Angelo for six months to go through the intelligence course there. Upon graduation was sent back to San Antonio where I was assigned for three years. Got married in 1963 and left to Zweibrucken, Germany in the spring of 1964 for three years. After that, went back to Headquarters again for two years when I received a remote assignment to Osan Korea in 1969. From there I went back to San Angelo to work as an instructor in the school house where in November 1972, I went to Heidelberg, Germany for four years on an dedicated assignment to support the Army for the National Security Agency. After that I went back to San Antonio where I retired from the Air Force on 30 June 1980. Afterwards, I worked for the VA as a programmer for three years and then went to Fort Sam Houston as a computer specialist where I finally retired from the government on Dec 31, 2011 with over 50 years of government service.

Sent to Panama for four years and advanced to Electronics Tecnician First Class (E-6) Sent to Purdue University and commissioned an Ensign upon graduationl Stationed aboard USS Raleigh LPD1 in Norfolk VA, post graduate school in Nonterey CA, Destroyer School in Newport RI, USS Robert H. McCard DD-822 in Tampa FL, USS Kalamazoo AOR-6 and Destroyer Squadron 12 in Mayport FL and last duty station was The Rapid Deployment Joint Task Force (now the Central Command) in Tampa FL. Retired in 1982 at the rank of LCDR (O-4)
