After graduation I went to Albuquerque, New Mexico with my mother and sisters while our dad was on another tour of duty in Vietnam. I lived with my family until dad came back to the states. I worked for an educational company called Teaching Machines Inc., (TMI), where I met my husband and married in 1962. Bill joined the Air Force in Sept. 1963 and we were sent to Travis Air Force base near Vacaville, Calif., after boot camp in Texas and where we were stationed for the remainder of his four year tour. In 1967 we moved back to Iowa with two children , Mark and Maureen. We took up farming the family farm north of Davenport, where he was raised. We farmed that farm with his parents for five years and bought our own farm in 1971, north about 35 miles in the Jackson County community near Maquoketa, Iowa where I still live. Bill passed away in July of 1997 and I moved into town in May of 1998 after selling our original farm to the Amish and purchasing a farm on the other side of the county. I worked for the local county hospital for 4 years and then came to work at our local radio station and have been here for 35 years as an Account Executive and on-air personality. I have never been able to attend a class reunion, but hope when I retire next year, I will be able to get back for one and reunite with some of my classmates again. Until then, I hope all who are still with me in this life are doing well and staying healthy.
