Army Reserves, 16 Years
In 1983 i joined the NY Army National Guard out of Leeds, NY. Served as a Infantryman in a rifle platoon from 1983-1989.
In 1989 I transferred to the US Army Resreves out of Schenectady, NY. There I attended the US Army Drill Sergeant School in Ft. Leonard Wood MO.

Navy, 20+ Years
Retire US Naval Officer. Enlisted in 1983 for Delayed Entry. Served as a Cryptologist for the Naval Security Group in Naples Italy for 2 years and Served 5 Years at the White House Communications Agency in Washington DC under President Regan and George Bush Sr. Commissioned upon completion of my Bachelors Degree at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and SU and served numerous tours as a Logistics Officer, 2 of which were ships. The Aircraft Carrier CVN70 USS Carl Vinson and a Frigate, FFG59.

Boot camp in Parris Island, South Carolina from June 25 - September 20, 1985.
Served as an 0341 (infantry mortarman) at Camp Pendleton, California.
Member of the Marine Detachment aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger based in San Diego, California for 2 years.
Marine Security Guard at American Embassies and Consulates in London, England and Karachi, Pakistan for 3 years.
Final year spent as a Training NCO at 29 Palms, CA.
Final Rank was a senior Sergeant with 3 1/2 years time in grade.

I joined the US Navy during my senior year at Cairo Central. Went off to basic training at RTC Great Lakes Illinois on July 22, 1975. After basic I returned to Great Lakes for Electronics Technician school until March of 76. I was then stationed at NTCC/NAS Barbers Pt, in Hawaii until May of 78. I then transferred to the USS Kiska (AE-35) out of Concord, CA. I was released from active duty on July 21, 1979 and remained in the Reserves until March of 1981.
