Cabrillo High School Class Of 1971 50th Reunion

Hello all. It is time have a discussion about 50th reunion, that is suppose to be happening this summer. I have some thoughts on the topic, especially in light of the COVID 19 situation, and the lockdowns.

At this moment in time the various state government's have manadtated that people not gather in groups of more than four to ten people. In either homes or restaurants etc. If this mandates continues into May or June it will make it near to impossible for us to hold an in person gathering of our class.

So I have two ideas that we can look at doing.

1. Thin about holding our reunion in the summer of 2022
2. Hold a virtual reunion. Using Zooms or some other conference/meeting platform.
a. I have seen this done with using Zoom. As 2 of the Astronomy orgainizations my husband belongs to did this in 2021. It was very successful.

Please give these meeting ideas some thought, and post your ideas and suggestions. Let’s get the conversations started.

We having finally started the Planning Phase of the Reunion. Letters are being emailed to classmates this week April 11th thru 18th.
But here are some Reunion updates:

Reunion Dates: June 11-13, 2021
Location of the dinner/dance:
The Mission Club in Vandenberg Village
Still being planned is the Friday night Meet Up and the Sunday BBQ
