Served as a Hospital Corpsman for 4 years and as a Surface Warfare Officer for 5 years. Deployed to the war twice, (2002/2003 and 2005), onboard USS Tortuga, LSD 46, and USS Normandy, CG-60. Received Honorable Discharge in 2006.

Enlisted in 1990 for Desert Shield/ Desert Storm achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-6) then went to flight school. Fly's UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and RQ-1 Predator. Has attained the rank of Chief Warrant Officer 3 and is up for promotion next year.
