Hello BULLDOGS!!
We are coming down the homestretch for our 40th Class Reunion!!! Can you believe it? And a quick look through Facebook shows that we are looking pretty darn good! We can’t wait to see you all! Born in ’58, turning 58. EPIC!
Many of you have already made your reservations and we really appreciate that! For those of you who haven’t made your payments yet, we’d like to encourage you to get your reservation in as soon as you can, as the venue is breathing down our necks wanting to know how many we will be. For some reason, they want to make sure they have enough food (and drink ;) ) for us all. Go figure. Anyway, please get your money in either by PayPal or send an actual personal check to the PO Box.
Also, we need to be able to reach out to as many classmates as we can. By NOT hiring a professional search company, we are saving about $40/ticket and are still able to provide two free drinks with dinner. The flip side of that is that we need to depend on each other to reach out to our “missing” classmates.
The address to mail the check is PO Box 326, Santa Paula, CA 93061. Make the check payable to Buena 76ers. Please forward this to your known contacts in our class. And please buy your tickets sooner rather than later, so like you don’t forget about it, and this email gets buried amid the other “life” happenings. (You mean that only happens to me? Arg.)
More information will become available, but know that we will be having activities and opportunities all weekend, beginning with Ross Taylor’s inspired BUENAPALOUSSA!!! That will be kicking off Friday night at Faria Beach Park. I haven’t check the tide chart yet, but I hope we have a low tide. Bring whatever you want to eat and drink, sit on, keep warm, etc. Think, South Jetty.

I will come back and post again. Just wanted to give you a heads up. July 30th is a Saturday. I will be meeting with who ever would like to show up to our first meeting which will be January 9th 2016. I would like to know who is coming by January 5th so, I can see where we can meet and I will post before our meeting. The cost to the Reunion will be $65.00 a person. You have to get the check or money to me (Gilbert Ruby) or Tina Gonzalez. I am NOT in the year book for I did NOT make it to make up day. Mel Popavich and I were in MARINE CROP bootcamp when you were Graduating. Mel will be there also and so, will Toni Hudson who works on Dancing with the Stars. PLEASE, you can give your money or Check to who ever still lives here in Ventura but, I have to know you sent the money and it is in the bank and I have you marked down on my sheet that you paid. At our first meeting we will see what we are going to eat. I did have a plate but, I would like to get feed back from the class??? So, I might have to put up another Reunion notice or I might be able to add here.
