Andrea E. Nofzinger, 27 years, of Bryan, passed away Friday, September 21, 2018 in her home. Andrea was born March 12, 1991 in Wauseon, Ohio, the daughter of David Nofzinger and Lori Phillips. She was a 2009 graduate of Bryan High School and continued her education at Northwest State and at Brown Mackie College. Andrea recently started working for Peter’s Family Eye Care as an Optometric Technician. She previously worked as a Waitress and Manager at Union Street Grille. She had also worked for Two Bandits, Malibu Tan and Arby’s. Andrea enjoyed staying active, whether playing volleyball or softball, or taking a run. She liked camping, especially those trips with her grandparents at Harrison Lake, visiting Arizona, music and following the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. She truly loved her girls and spending time with her extended family.

Surviving are her two daughters, Emma Roose and Jordyn Bruot; mother, Lori (Jim Schlosser) Phillips of Bryan; father and stepmother, David (Chris) Nofzinger of Bryan; brothers, Alex (Emily) Nofzinger of Columbia City, Indiana, Trevor Mason of Bryan and Christopher Gyurnek of Indianapolis, Indiana; nieces and nephews, Noah, Lilyanne, Austin and Jasmine as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Jim and Anita Phillips, Willard Nofzinger, Glenda and Grover Schulte; nephew, Jackson Nofzinger and cousin, Jake Phillips.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 2:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, Lynn Street, Chapel, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan where memories will be shared starting at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening. Interment will be private for the family

Cody Ryan Thorp, age 24, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and formerly of Bryan, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 1, 2015, as a result of injuries sustained in an accident at work. He worked in grounds maintenance at ThorSports-Farms in Murfreesboro. Cody was a 2008 graduate of Bryan High School, where he was active in several sports. He attended The University of Toledo and was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan and enjoyed golfing and spending time with his dogs.

Born on June 16, 1990, in Bryan, Ohio, Cody was the son of Randy Thorp and Julie (Keck) Thorp. He is survived by his father, Randy (Carol) Thorp, of Defiance, Ohio; mother, Julie (Keck) Wanstedt, of Bryan; soul mate, Riley Jackson, of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; beloved dogs, Quincy and Nala; sisters, Tosha (Todd) Moyer, of Bryan, and Ally Wanstedt, of Bryan; step-brother, Jason (Heather) Westrick, of Wauseon; step-sister, Julie (Josh) Houck, of Napoleon; paternal grandmother, Katie “Meme” Thorp, of Bryan; nieces and nephews, Taeya and Trevin Moyer, Madelyn and Collin Westrick and Annabelle Houck; uncles, Gary (Anita) Thorp, of Austin, Texas, Rob (Toni) Thorp, of Cincinnati, Ohio, and John Keck, of Bryan; aunts, Connie (Terry) Courtney, of Springfield and Toni (Duane) Sandy, of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Darrell Thorp, and maternal grandparents, Waver Lee (Keck) Dhaenens and Herbert C. Keck.

Jacob Lee “Jake” Phillips, 21 years, passed away suddenly Monday, December 23, 2013 in the emergency room of Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers, Bryan. Jake was born May 21, 1992 in Bryan, the son of Jim and Suzanne (Thiede) Phillips. He was a 2011 graduate of Bryan High School where he played on the football team. Jake worked at Matsu in Edgerton. He had also worked at Menard’s Distribution Center, Holiday City, Manufactured Housing Enterprises and Phillips Motors in Bryan. Jake had many interests, including sports, fishing, woodworking, weight training, shooting guns and listening to all kinds of music. He also enjoyed being around nature’s animals, playing in the snow with his German Shepherds Apache, Nico and Bear.

He is survived by his parents; Jim Phillips of Bryan and Suzanne Phillips of Henderson, Nevada; one sister, Triah (Chad Schmid) Phillips of North Royalton, Ohio; maternal grandparents, Vance and Joan Thiede of Blaine, Minnesota; three aunts, Kathy (Doug) Pool of Bryan, Lori (Jim Schlosser) Phillips of Bryan and Doreen (Joel) Godfredson of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two uncles, Bill (Tammy) Thiede of Indianapolis, Indiana and Dan (Amy) Thiede of Isanti, Minnesota; two great-uncles, Tom (Mary) Phillips of Bryan and Gus (Linda) Phillips of Bryan, as well as numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Denver “Jake” Phillips and Gertrude Gray; paternal grandparents, James and Anita Phillips, maternal great-grandparents, Harold and Peg “Margaret” Troup and one uncle, Allen Troup.

Visitation for Jake Phillips was held Tuesday, December 31, 2013 from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan where funeral services will follow at 5:00 p.m. with Pastor John MacFarlane officiating.

Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Bryan Football Team or to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.

CARROLL Jeson R. Jeson R. Carroll, 22, was born June 5, 1987, in Toledo, OH. He passed away March 4, 2010. Jeson was a student of the University of Toledo. He was highly athletic, participating in football, wrestling, track and field, and mixed-martial arts. He attended Bryan High School in Bryan, OH and will be forever missed. He is survived by father, Fred (Linda) Willis; mother, Pamela Carroll; brothers, Elliot Willis and Jerad Carroll; sister, Jessica Carroll; and a host of other family and friends. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, March 10, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at The House of Day Funeral Services Chapel preceded by 10:00 a.m. wake service. Visitation services Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. also at The House of Day.
