Joined the Reserve in order to help pay for college. Who would have thought thay would turn out to an active tour of Iraq after 16 years!?!?!

Ethan Newago
Class of 2008
Army, 10 Years
Ethan Newago served in the US Army for a total of ten years, with multiple combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan. He spent most of his active duty time at Ft Bragg, NC as a Combat Engineer with the 20th Engineer Brigade (Airborne). He was honorably discharged due to medical conditions sustained while serving and officially retired in 2018. He currently lives with his wife and fellow Bruton alumna in New Jersey.
