Bryan McConkey

Class of 1989

Bryan C. McConkey was born in San Antonio, Texas and grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and Brunswick, Georgia. Bryan spent four years in the U. S. Navy serving two tours in the South Pacific/Persian Gulf and received an honorable discharge. After military service, Bryan attended Full Sail School for the Recording Arts in Orlando, Florida graduating with a degree in Recording Arts. Following graduation, he worked for Starstruck Entertainment in Nashville, Tennessee for five years as an audio engineer. Bryan worked on multiple Grammy award winning records such as Faith Hill’s “BREATHE”, Reba McEntire’s “SO GOOD TOGETHER”, Dwight Yoakam’s “TOMORROWS SOUND TODAY” and on records of many other country artists. Bryan joined the Alabama Theater in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 2003-2011 and was employed as an audio/systems engineer/production manager. He started his own Audio Company Myrtle Beach Audio-this company provides engineering services,audio installations,and services to provide long term preventive maintenance for audio,video and lighting systems.
