Cost - $20 ea now / $25 at door You are invited to the 30-year class reunion of the Class of '81 from Brownstown Central High School! Our 30th Class Reunion will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at W.R. Ewing (908 W. Spring Street, Brownstown). Social Hour: 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM Dinner: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM Dance: 8:00 PM - 12:00 Midnight The dinner will be catered featuring pulled pork sandwiches, side dishes, dessert, tea and lemonade. Please bring your own drinks (pop and alcoholic beverages). The cost for the evening will be $20 per person / $40 per couple if paid in advance or $25 per person if paying at the door. Dress is casual! There will be a DJ, so please fill out the attached questionnaire to include your favorite 80's tunes! It is sure to be a great time! April (McMahon) Mann has graciously invited us to come to the "Community Center" located behind their house (5994 W State Road 58, Brownstown). They have lots of things to do, including playing pool, foosball, corn hole, cards, and much more! There is also a fireplace to get cozy by while chatting with old friends! It should be a great way for us to get our reunion weekend started off on the right foot! Please bring your own beverages and your favorite appetizer/snack to share, and come to spend some extra time "catching up" with classmates! Feel free to invite friends from other classes who might enjoy seeing friends from the Class of '81- the more, the merrier! We are looking forward to another great reunion as we celebrate another five years since we graduated from BCHS! Hope to see you there!

BCHS Class of 1979 Reunion Meeting Date: June 23rd, 2009 7p TJ’s Ewing PRESENT: Sherrie Huffman-Anderson, Tammi Gray-Hackman, Tina Warren-Brewer, Norma Carroll-Lawyer, Hanna Crawford-Swayer, & Randy Swayer, Mark Persinger TOPIC DISCUSSION ACTION Call to Order 1900 Minutes From May 26, 2009 None OLD BUSINESS Tampico Yard sale Hanna reported we made $73.25, money given to Treasurer Tina, made enough to possibly cover postage for invitations. thank you to Hanna’s mom for letting us have it there, Thank you to Tina’s mom & sister for the donations, thank you to Sherrie for helping both days FYI T shirts Sherrie has a few available for sale now and will take orders as needed, send money, size & $15.00 to 11380 W. 930 S., Columbus, IN 47201 Class makes $8.00 from each shirt sold. Will add Tshirt order form on reunion RSVP card Contact info Tina found addresses for all but one returned post cards from John Abel’s fundraiser mailing. Hanna got Brad Hurley’s contact info & needs to get address list up to date so invitations can be mailed by Aug. 24thwith RSVP by Sept. 24th. Sherrie will make large cake for dessert. Hanna still needs to check with Shannon Allman-Turmail about donating the processing. Mark will check with Chuck about how he prefers the hog be cut up. Entertainment Terry will DJ the event. FYI. Pictures Hanna is scanning yearbook pictures to show in power point presentation. Old pictures may be available from Banner office. If anyone has time, go check! If you have pictures from high school please send copies to Hanna to include. Games Be sure to bring your corn hole set up if you have one. Also need little known fact about yourself if you plan on attending the ice breaker. We still need someone to run the corn hole tourney if we are going to have. Door prizes Do we need to get businesses to donate some nice prizes for who came the farthest, most kids, etc.? Or have trophy made for corn hole? Let us know if you or your business has an item to donate. Memorial Karen Emily, Tom Cockerham, Jeff Wolfe, Jackie Hayes, Rita Nowland, Ray Troxell, Trudy Miller, John Shoultz Get your pictures or memorial info to Anita & Brenda ASAP. They will work on the memorial after the Freetown Festival. Ice/beverages Bring your own ice/beverages Coolers are allowed. Decorations Deb will have red & black decorations left over from family wedding we can use. If you have any red, black, bchs or braves décor we can use, let us know. The simpler the better. Anyone have any good ideas? American Legion bldg. Smells like smoke from bingo. We will have fragrant candles on the tables, etc. Golf scramble Sat. morning Oct. 24 Can we get businesses to sponsor it to reduce costs? Can we get some clubs to raffle off? Hanna will call Hickory Hills golf pro John Olson to get the 411. Tina will contact her cousin the Calloway rep. about a donation. Invitations Hanna spoke with Mark Foxworthy. His company will print the invitations similar to graduation invitations with an rsvp card and/or envelope to be included. What address will we use for RSVP? We will use Hanna’s address & she will get info to Mark asap so he can provide a sample/proof. Food May need to purchase containers for leftovers if we plan to consume them at the picnic on Sunday. FYI Other paper products Plates, cups, napkins, silverware, & leftover containers can be purchased at Sam’s club May need to bring toilet paper. Reportedly only one roll supplied by legion. Classmates Updates – John Abel is still doing ok waiting for a heart transplant. Anita & Lonnie Root’s daughter Tiffany is doing ok with her MS. Patty Burcham-Harris has cancer, is in Hospice at Wishard in Indianapolis, & they don’t expect her to live much longer. FYI Next mtg. Date time location Tuesday July 28th 7p @ the fair! Minutes from Jan. meeting PRESENT: Tina Warren Brewer, Sherrie Huffman Anderson, Mary Goss Osborne, Cathy Owens Roberts, Mark Persinger, Deb Brewer Stout, Hanna Crawford Swayer, Randy Swayer Concensus was to NOT to charge people to come due to the economic downturn. It needs to be family friendly with activities/games for kids/grandkids. FUNDRAISING: Deb will check in to having a Hwy 50 yard sale of donated items in May to raise money for meat & facility rental if we can't get a place for free. Any leftover $ saved for next reunion. We need to check into other fundraising ideas. TENTATIVE DATE: OCT. 23, 24, 25, 2009 Cathy will check on shelterhouse at Brownstown Park. Tina will check on family pond/campground. Roger will be at Feb. meeting and let us know what he found. (per phone conversation with Sherrie) Hanna will contact Shannon and see if she found out anything about WR Ewing. Sherrie will provide a large theme decorated cake for dessert. We might also make ice cream. Hanna has ice cream maker. Sherrie will check on having cheap T-shirts made up to sell. Hanna will provide First Aid station. Possibly have in informal reception Friday night at TJ's in Ewing. FOOD: Mark will check on hog roast/BBQ price. If we can provide the meat and have everyone else bring bread, vegetables and side dishes,etc. ICE: Everybody bring a bag. May need tubs or coolers for drinks. BEVERAGES: Bring your own. May also need volunteer bar tenders taking turns to monitor the distribution of alcohol so no kids get into it. TABLESERVICE: Everyone bring your own plates, cups, napkins, plastic ware, tableclothes, etc. MEMORIAL: Names we came up with were Karen Emily, Tom Cockerham, Jeff Wolfe, Jackie Hayes, Rita Nowland, Ray Troxell, Trudy Miller.
