Quit High School to join the MARINES,figured i'd signe up instead of getting DRAFTED. Went to CHU LAI south Viet Nam,My Outfit was out of KANEOHE HAWAII. THE MAGNIFICENT BASTARDS! Our 1st. contact with the VIET CONG was an OPERATION STARLITE the 1st Major Contact with the VC and we did our COUNTRY PROUD!! LEFT VIETNAM in 1965 and got my HONORABLE DISCHARGE in1967...Will turn 70 in feburary..
