Bowler Alumni Dollars for Scholars Adult Contiuing Education Scholarship

The Bowler Alumni DFS will award a $500 scholarship to an adult for continuing education at a 2 or 4 year University, technical school, or other accredited education facility.

The following will be required of the applicant:
1.) Personal data to include name, address, phone
contact, an email address, date of birth and school
presently enrolled in.
2.) An essay to include the following information:
A.) Educational background, i.e., high school and post
secondary education status.
B.) Current employment and/or education status.
C.) Goals for future career or improvement in current
career.
D.) Any information regarding the applicant's financial
status that would be helpful in determining
scholarship need.
E.) Any information regarding the applicant's personal
and/or family status that would contribute to financial
scholarship need.
3.) A copy of the student's transcript from the current
educational program.
4.) A letter of reference from an employer, instructor, or
other person with knowledge of the student's scholastic
efforts.

Applicants must be 20 years old (minimum) and a graduate of Bowler High School or high school equivalency after attending Bowler High School. Deadline for applications is October 30, 2010 and should be mailed to:

Bowler Alumni

The Bowler Alumni Dollars for Scholars is asking for your help! We would love to see you at our next meeting! Meetings are open to any past BHS graduate and are held the 2nd Thursday of March, May, July, & Novemeber. We meet in the HS LIbrary. We are encouraging everyone to help our past and future graduates by helping with fundraising for scholarships for a secondary education.
