About	Edward Russel Ellis, "Mr. Ed" of Buzzards Bay died on May 17, 2007 at the age of 81. He was born on July 10, 1925 in Sagamore Beach. A graduate of Bourne High School and Mass Maritime Academy, he was a merchant marine during WWII. Mr. Ellis was a member of and business agent for Plumber and Pipefitters Local 77 and 51 for over 40 years, a life long member of the Swift Memorial United Methodist Church, a member of the Onset Fire Department for 25 years and the prudential committee for 12 years. He was also a member of the Monument Beach-Otis Sportsman Club, the Dewitt Clinton Lodge in Sandwich and a democratic party delegate. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and sports fan. A Service was held at The Swift Memorial United Methodist Church, 8 Williston Rd., Sagamore Beach. Burial followed in the Sagamore Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in his name may be made to The Swift Memorial United Methodist Church, PO Box 270, Sagamore Beach, MA 02562.
