Esther Ellen (Davis) MacDonald, 75
SAGAMORE - Esther E. MacDonald, 75, a homemaker, died Saturday at the Cape Heritage Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
She was the wife of John Gordon MacDonald, who died in 1995. They had been married for 52 years.
Born in Sagamore, Mrs. MacDonald was educated in Bourne schools and graduated from Bourne High School in 1942.
She traveled the world with her husband while he served in the Air Force.
Mrs. MacDonald was a longtime member of the Swift Memorial United Methodist Church in Sagamore Beach, where she was an active member and for many years helped to put on the fish fry event at the Activity Center.
An avid gardener, she was also a longtime member of the Eastern Star.
A funeral service was held at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne. Burial was in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
