Lynne Claire (Harrison) Anderson of Sandwich passed away on February 10 at the Cape Regency in Centerville. She was the former wife of George Anderson.

Born in Wareham, a daughter of the late Walter Nelson Harrison and Phyllis T. (Coville) Gouge. Stepdaughter of Roy J.B. Gouge of Sarasota, Florida and Hampton, Tennessee.

She was educated in Bourne Public Schools and graduated from Bourne High School in 1964.

She resided most of her life in Bourne and in Wareham.

As a child she sang in the church choir and was also a member of Girl Scouts alongside her sister Paula and her mother Phyllis, as troop leader.

Lynne attended secretary school in her 20s and later worked at a school cafeteria in Sagamore Beach.

She kept busy by attending several adult day health programs over the years including Gateway in Wareham, Cozy Corner in Plymouth and for the last several years at the JML Care Center in Falmouth. Lynne’s family is thankful for the care the staff at these programs has provided to her over the years.

Lynne recently resided at Cape Winds Rest Home in Sandwich where she was treated like family and loved by friends and the staff; and for this the family is truly thankful.

She enjoyed knitting, word search, painting, gospel music, listening to Elvis and Billy Graham.

She enjoyed winter trips with her mother to Sarasota, Florida for many years.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Wareham.

Lynne lived for her family, children and grandchildren. They brought so much joy to her life. She was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, caretakers and friends.

Her funeral was held at the Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene 6 Rogers Avenue in Wareham. Interment was at the Sagamore Cemetery. Visitation was at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home 154 Route 6A Sandwich.
