Ruth (Tucy) Edson, Bourne Native
Ruth (Tucy) Edson of Hinsdale, N.H., died July 18 at the Brattleboro Memorial Hospital in Vermont.
She was a former resident of Norwalk, Conn., where she raised her four children.
She was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and hard working homemaker.
Born in Buzzards Bay, she attended schools in Bourne and trained as a flight stewardess at the Airage Academy in Boston.
In 1959 she was named “Miss Bourne.”
She was an avid Red Sox fan, loved mowing her lawn, gardening, feeding the birds, and going to the beach.
She was preceded by her parents, Charles and Clara (Goulart) Tucy; and her brothers, Charles Jr. (Sonny), C. Paul (Buddy), and Ralph Tucy.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Margaret's Church, Buzzards Bay.
Burial was in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wareham.
