About	August 18, 1913 - July 31, 2010 Eleanor Cecelia (Tassinari) McDonald died at her home in Sagamore at the age of 96. She was attended through her illness by her husband, John. She was the daughter of the late Alfonso and Amalia Tassinari of Sagamore and was preceded in death by her sister, Joanna Melloni of Wareham and her brothers, Renato, Bruno, Gustavo and Ugo, all of Falmouth, as well as John and Armando of Sagamore. Her niece, Joanne Spooner of Falmouth and nephew, Richard Melloni of Wareham also preceded her in death. A graduate of Bourne High School and the Cape Cod Secretarial School, she obtained a position in the business office at Barnstable County Hospital, followed by 30 years at Falmouth Auto Sales. She had a special fondness for St. Theresa’s Chapel in Sagamore where she regularly attended Mass, and in later years taught C.C.D. class. She was married there as well. Visiting hours were held on Tuesday, August 3, 2010 from 5 to 8 pm in the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 154 Route 6A in Sandwich. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:30 am on Wednesday at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 324 Quaker Meeting House Road in East Sandwich, followed by burial in St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cape Cod, 765 Attucks Lane, Hyannis, MA 02601.
