About	Published in Norwich, CT Bulletin on April 28, 2009 Wanda (Fielding) Anderson April 22, 1933 - April 27, 2009 Preston, CT Wanda (Fielding) Anderson, 76, wife of the late Frank G. Anderson, Jr. of Old Jewett City Rd., Preston, died on Monday morning at her home. Wanda was born in Haverhill, MA on April 22, 1933, the daughter of the late Edmund and May (Spackman) Fielding. She was graduate 1952 Bourne High School graduate in Bourne, MA, and later took courses at Community Colleges in wildlife management. She met her husband Frank in 1949 while in high school and they were married in 1955 while he was in the Navy. For the next 34 years, they moved from station to station in the Navy while she pursued her wildlife management career. She and Frank settled in Preston and operated the Wanfran Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Inc. working with wildlife that came to them as orphans or were injured. Wanda was predeceased by her husband Frank, who died on November 21, 2008. Visitation was at the Labenski Funeral Home, 107 Boswell Avenue in Norwich. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Route 165, Preston. Burial was followed in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Wanfran Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, Inc., 75 Old Jewett City Rd, Preston, CT 06365.
