BOURNE - Stanley Arthur Gibbs, 66, a self-employed heavy equipment operator, died Sunday, December 5 at Falmouth Hospital.
Born, raised and educated in Bourne, Mr. Gibbs graduated from Bourne High School in 1951.
A former member of the Bourne Fire Department, he owned and operated heavy equipment locall in Oklahoma City and Austin, Texas.
He also owned and operated a pilot boat livery service in the Cape Cod Canal.
He enjoyed shellfishing, hunting and lobstering.
A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. Friday in Pocasset Cemetery, Bourne.
