About	January 13, 2012 Onset Elizabeth "Betty" (Fontes) Andrade, 86, of Onset, died December 31, 2011 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. She was the wife of the late Charles Andrade. Born in Wareham, she was the daughter of the late Antone V. Fontes and Angelina Fontes Riberio. She graduated from Bourne High School. Mrs. Andrade had many jobs during her lifetime. She worked as a welder during World War II, as a picker in local cranberry bogs, as an assembler at Aerovox in New Bedford and as a cafeteria manager at Wareham High School. She was known as a dedicated and loving mother, grandmother and aunt. She loved spending time with her family, teaching her grandchildren card games, and traveling and playing bingo. She was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church in Buzzards Bay. Her brother, the late Morris Fontes, Jr. and her son-in-law, the late Joseph Canute, III, predeceased her. A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at St. Margaret's Church in Buzzards Bay.
