BUZZARDS BAY - Edward Francis Besse
74, of Buzzards Bay, died Sunday in Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton.
He was born in Wareham, and attended Bourne schools, graduating from Bourne High School.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Besse was a highway supervisor for the Massachusetts Department of Public Works for 43 years.
He enjoyed gardening, reading, and sports, and traveled extensively.
There was a graveside service at 1 p.m. Friday at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
Visiting hours were 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne.
