HOUSTON, TEXAS — Dorothy (Tripp) Thompson, 85, widow of Dana F. Thompson, died September 11 in Houston, Texas, after a long illness.
Born in New Bedford, she moved to Bourne in 1938 and graduated from Bourne High School in 1946.
She worked for the Federal Government for thirty-three years at Camp Edwards, Otis Air Force Base, and Otis AGB, retiring in 1990.
After retirement, she volunteered at the Head Start program in Bourne.
She was a member of the Bourne United Methodist Church, Bourne Historical Society, and Bourne High School Alumni Association.
A Funeral Service w?ere? held on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 11:15 a.m. in the Nickerson Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA. Interment followed? in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.?
