About	James Edward Burgess March 10, 1955 - February 17, 2010 JAMES E. BURGESS, 54 Devoted father, avid sports fan James Edward Burgess of Buzzards Bay died Wednesday, February 17th. A life-long resident of Bourne, he was the son of Elaine (Mitchell) Burgess and the late Leonard L. Burgess, Jr. Jim was a 1974 graduate of Bourne High School and was actively involved in coaching youth sports for many years. He enjoyed playing horseshoes, riding his motorcycle, and spending time with family. One of his favorite traditions was his annual camping trip with family and friends. Jim was a general contractor for the past thirty years. Visiting hours were held on Monday, February 22nd at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. in Bourne. A funeral mass was celebrated on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Church on Main Street in Buzzards Bay. Burial followed at Oakland Grove Cemetery in Bourne.
