Reed, 74 WWII Navy veteran Bourne grocery store manager singer BOURNE - Kenneth Raymond Reed, 74, died Thursday, October 1, 1999 at New England Medical Center in Boston. Born, raised and educated in Bourne he graduated from Bourne High School in 1942. He served with the Navy for three and a half years as a seaman, first class, during World War II. Mr. Reed was a resident of Bourne for most of his life, living in Sarasota, Fla., for 11 years before returning to Bourne in 1985. He was a grocery store manager for several grocery stores both in Bourne and in Sarasota. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar, singing and dancing. Services were private.
