Savage, 52 Worked for the postal service A funeral Mass will be said today at 12:30 p.m. in St. Margaret's Church in the Buzzards Bay section of Bourne for Edward F. Savage, an employee of the US Postal Service, who died Tuesday, March 23, at Mount Auburn Hospital in Cambridge of metastatic carcinoma. He was 52 and lived in Buzzards Bay. Mr. Savage was born in Boston and grew up in Buzzards Bay. He graduated in 1959 from Bourne High School where he played football and basketball. He was the high scorer when his team competed in the Tech Tourney at Boston Garden in 1959. Mr. Savage served in the Marine Corps and was discharged as a Corporal in 1966. He was employed by the US Postal Service for 33 years and was the senior postman in Buzzards Bay at the time of his death.
