Lisa Axton Bevers

Class of 1980

Our pre-med class went on a field trip to the mortuary. Marvin Ellis was a class member. He was a very talented jock the years I was there. We saw the crematory and other rooms. We entered the casket room that had at least maybe 50 caskets. Each casket had a name. Marvin entered the room, looked far across the room and pointed at one. He exclaimed how cool it was and that he wanted that one. He waded past the rest of of the caskets to get to this particular one. You can't imagine the look on his face when he read the name on it. It was called "The Ellis". Marvin turned white as a sheet when he read the name. He left in a great hurry and I don't remember seeing him the rest of the day.
