Eugene Frederick Schaub, 77 of Lafayette, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at Medina General Hospital.
He was born October 2, 1948 in Medina, Ohio to Fred and Olga (Elioff) Schaub. Fred grew up in Spencer, Ohio and graduated from Black River High School. He had resided in Decatur, MS for a few years, but had been a Medina County resident most of his life. He had previously worked for Coca Cola and later was a driver in the trucking business. Fred was a member of the Medina Eagles and Moose Lodge, and an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
He is survived by his daughter, Kristie Lee Schaub Boyd; grandchildren, Brooklee Marie, Addlynn Jade, and Brenten Ray Boyd, and Asher Bryce Schaub; nieces and nephews, Anna Marie and Paula Geracioti, Kathy (John) Giordano, Greg (Kim) Geracioti, and Teri, Kim, and Jim Schaub. Fred was a good friend to all, a father figure to Shelly Gott and a beloved cousin to many. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Frederick III; sister, Velma Geracioti; and brother, Rev. James Schaub.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 12 Noon at New Horizons Church Cemetery, 8439 River Corners Rd., Homerville, OH. Rev. Jonathon Steingass will officiate. A luncheon will immediately follow at the church.
