Went to boot camp in Great Lakes.
Served aboard the USS Nimitz 84-84. Was involved in the Gulf of Sidra incident.
Spent the rest of the time in the reserves.

Mike Oakley

National Guard, 20+ Years
Mike is currently a Sergeant Major wtih the 167th Theater Sustainment Command in Birmingham, AL. He has served wtih the 167th Engineers (Centrevile), 20th Special Forces Group (Montgomery and Birmingham); 168th Engineers (Fayette), 131 Mobile Public Affairs Detachment and 167th TSC .He joined in 1979 and has been mobilized twice in the service of his country.

Our Bibb County High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Bibb County High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
