Entered the Army Security Agency in 1967 with basic training in Ft. Jackson and ASA training at Ft. Devens, Massachusetts. I served in Phu Bai, Vietnam and Hakata, Japan and returned to civilian life in 1971.

JOHN C KENDALL

Air Force, 20+ Years
Elisted a month after graduation from high school. Trained as an aircraft mechanic and worked F-4Ds in Korea and F-4Es in Germany. After returning to the USA worked T-38s and T-37s in San Antonio, Tx. Was stationed at Offutt working T-38s and crossed trained into the "heavies" working on the E-4Bs. Worked the RC and EC-135s as a Specialist Line Chief until being assigned to Squadron Safety/ HazComm, HazWaste NCOIC for the last 3 years before retirement. Worked part time at Transiet Alert recovering/servicing/launching aircraft that landed from other bases. Performed duties on aircraft from all US services and many foreign countries. Assisted presidential fleet to include the Boeing 707 and 747 series aircraft and the Marine helicopters. Was involved in the 747 with the Space Shuttle piggy backing on it when it visited Offutt. Attained an FAA license for airframe and powerplant to work civilian aircraft before leaving the AF. Worked and flown on warbirds traveling all over the midwest to and in airshows.
