About Me	My life since 7E, 8E and 9E with Mr. Schneider at Louis Pasteur.... several zigs and zags! After Bayside HS, attended Michigan State (majoring in poli sci and sociology). Started a PhD program at Cornell in demography, but spent more time marching in anti-war demonstrations with SDS than attending classes. Avoided the draft by teaching in inner-city New York schools. Left after 2 years for pre-vet studies. Then zigged to NYU for an MS in Environmental Health Science. Environmental consulting for a few years and then zagged to dental school -- so briefly they hardly knew I was there. Then American Express's corporate demographer for a few years. After another pink slip, left the corporate world to start my own little business -- in outdoor recreation. Did that for almost 25 years and loved it. Sold my two companies (www.ramblers.com and www.outdoorbound.com) and am happily retired since 2006. I was late to marry, and divorced in '85. Met my lovely wife in China in 2006 and married in early 2008. Connie is a teacher of English and Tai Chi (her parents were doctors) and her daughter has just (2010) graduated from college in Shenzhen, near Hong Kong, and lives with her childhood boyfriend. I love to read, we play paddleball, badminton, ping pong and do a lot of bike riding, hiking and travel. Now we also enjoy walks in our new home town.
