I did 3 tours in Bosnia 3 tours in Iraq including the Liberation of Kuwait 1991, and many Operations in theater. I was awarded the US Navy Commendation Medal 2 times and the US Navy Achievment Medal 2 times along with many other medals and awards.. I served onboard the USS G. Washington 2 tours and 1 tour onboard the USS John C. Stennis which we took around the world.

Boot camp at MCRD Paris Island in June 2007 after graduating. Then on to School of Infantry in Jacksonville, NC. My first unit was 2nd Batallion 6th Marine Corps Regiment, Camp Lejeune , NC where I deployed twice. My first deployment was with the 26th Marine Expeditionary as a rifleman and squad automatic weapon gunner. My second deployment was a very active and kinetic combat deployment to Marjah, Afghanistan in Helmand Province from June–December 2010. While in Marjah, I served my unit as a platoon radio operator, team leader, and very briefly (2-weeks) as a platoon sergeant; and also re-enlisted for another four year term.

During my second enlistment I served with 3rd Battalion 5th Marine Corps infantry Regiment Camp Pendleton, CA and Headquarters and Services Battalion at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego. While at Camp Pendleton I deployed for a third time detached from 3rd Battalion 5th Marines and reattached to the Maritime Raid Force of the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit as a squad leader and rifleman. At my final duty station Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego I was Cerimonial detail where I served as a flag bearer for the Base Color Guard and a Funeral detail supervisor. The highest rank I achieved was Corporal and was discharged in 2015.

Immediately upon my release from service, I began attending San Diego Community College ,Miramar campus, studying Psychology with the goal of transferring to California State University San Marcos. After receiving my Associate of the Arts degree from Miramar I transferred to Cal. State San Marcos to finish my bachelor of the arts degree in Psychological Sciences. I graduated from Cal State San Marcos in June 2020, with a 3.27 GPA. I plan to begin working on a Master of the Sciences/Arts Degree at either Arizona State University or Alliant University in January 2021.

Served in the US Army for 13 years, deploying to such places as Saudi Arabia, Korea, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Served as flight engineer on the CH-47 Chinook helicopter. Served nine years at Fort Campbell, KY, three years in Alaska, and 1 year in Korea, not including deployments around the world.

I am a Medical Service Corps Officer which monitors and plans medical support for military units. Currently, I am the battalion commander for the 61st Multifunctional Medical Battalion in Fort Hood, Texas. Recent jobs include Chief of Plans, 44th MEDCOM (Fort Bragg, NC); Corps War Planner, Multi-National Corps Iraq (MNC-I) and XVIII Airborne Corps (Fort Bragg, NC) and Operations Officer, 3rd Army (CFLCC), Camp Doha, Kuwait.

I served 4 years acitve duty in the Army, being stationed in Ft. Benning Georgia, Korea, & Ft. Polk, La. I then served an additional 20 years in the Kentucky National Guard. I deployed to Iraq in 2005, and retired in 2012 as the First Sergeant of Charlie Battery of the 1st BN 623rd FA.
