Was stationed in California twice first at Travis AFB from 1975 through 1978. Then Cannon AFB in New Mexico from 1978 to 1981. Then was was stationed at Kadina AB on the island of Okinawa in southen Japan from 81 to 82. Then back to California at March AFB from 1982 until I was retired in 1991. In the 16 plus years in the Air Force I had many TDY's ( temp duty) to other states and countries like the Philippines, Korea, Japan. I was an Aircraft Mechanic most of the time, I was an Instructor for the Air Force for a time, I was also a production controller for a time, and I was a Quality Assurance Inspector for a while also. I loved every moment of it!!

Right after high school I signed the contract on my eighteenth birthday and went into the Army for three years, a year later I joined the Army Reserve for another six years, three years after that I served in the Air Force Reserve for 28 years. I served in the last four major conflicts.

Went into basic training two weeks after graduation and left the Air Force 26 years later as a Chief Master Sergeant. Served in the aircraft maintenance area, mostly dealing with jet engines. I was stationed in California, Spain, Missouri and Ohio. Got to see a lot the world from Japan to Germany and many states in the U.S. It was GREAT!!

Was a Corpsman. I served on the USSHornet-CVS-12, USS Navarro APA-215 and various diesel boat Submarines as the Ship's Dr. I also served aboard DSRV-1 (Deep submergence rescue) at Point Loma. I retired in 1976 with a little over 20 yrs. I was an HMC(SS). I also flew SAR missions in Vietnam.
