Obituary For Steven G. Young
Peacefully, at the age of 74, Steven George Young has entered eternal life. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Joette Cooper Young and their daughters Tereleigh (Scott) Fabean and Amanda (Wakanwa) Nzambi along with his beloved grandchildren, Grace (Matilda) Fabean, Cooper (Miranda) Fabean, Marko Fabean, Maryn Fabean, London Nzambi, Noelle Nzambi, and Lillian Nzambi.

Born to Dorothy and Harry Young of Whitehall, Steve is preceded in death by his siblings Michael (Sandy) Young and Thomas (Karla) Young, and survived by Constance (Ken) Greb, Christopher (Lois) Young, Betsy (Sylvester) Kubacki, Paul Young and by many nieces and nephews.

Steve was faithful and was guided by one of his favorite quotes, “We are not human beings having spiritual experiences, but spiritual beings having human experiences.” He treasured his time at St. Annes parish and being a part of the choir there.

Steve was an athlete who excelled in basketball playing for Gannon University and lettering all four years. He was also fond of golf and was a devoted fan of the Pirates.

Steve and his wife began Young Restoration Company over 40 years ago. He always spoke so lovingly of the men who worked with him and they all touched his life exceedingly. Wherever Steve went, throughout his life, he was a force and made such powerful relationships.
