| About Me | Well after graduation I attended Arizona State for a semester and a half until I followed this girl I was dating into the Peace Corp. We were deployed to Vanuatu, an island off New Guinea, to help the villagers with clean drinking water, sanitation and clearing the minefields left by the Japanese during World War Two. Midway through our second year there my girlfriend, Lorna, was killed while removing a bouncing Betty mine that had been discovered while we were digging a latrine for local villagers. I kind of lost my mind and they shipped me home after I ran off naked into the jungle screaming at God. I finally got my head right, thanks to the nice folks at Patton State Mental Hospital and resumed my college education at Oregon State where I majored in African art. After graduating I had a tough time finding a job that would provide the income level I needed to live well and support my cocaine habit. I found a position as a loan officer at Wells Fargo and was progressing up the management ladder, becoming assistant manager of the Corvin branch. Part of my success was my willingness to put in 20 hour days (thanks to Coke) and my total lack of ethics (which is a requirement in the banking industry). My coke habit was eating up more of my disposable income and the branch manager wouldn’t get out of my way so I could have his job. After I robbed my own bank I was able to relocate to Puerto Vallarta in a great condo overlooking the ocean. Unfortunately the FBI caught up with me and I was extradited back to Portland for trial. I guess the coke clouded my thinking because my plan was full proof. I had thought of everything. I left work early telling the manager I was sick, I went to my car and retrieved my Ronald Reagan mask, .38 revolver and a bag for the money from the safe. Unfortunately I forgot to take off my name tag from my shirt and Saundra at the teller window saw it and ratted me out.
