Ed Witzke

Class of 1959

2017: Inducted into Driller Football Hall of Fame. 1958 Undefeated football team. Went on to play for the Bakersfield Renegades in 1959 and 1961. Team was undefeated both years and played in the JC Rose Bowl Game in 1959/61. Selected Metropolitan All-Conference and All-American both years. Played for the University of Oregon Ducks 1962/63. Graduated from the University of Oregon with BS and MS Degrees. Experienced a career in Juvenile Justice for over 30 years and retired in 1998. Married to my college sweetheart for over 60+ years and counting. Both of our daughters are accomplished professionals and married. Both have adult children. Looking back on our lives, Judy and I feel very blessed, love the Lord and have much to be thankful for. Remember: “Once a Driller Always a Driller”. Cheers!
