Services Monday for Tony Ray Potter, 25
Funeral services for Tony Ray Potter, 25, of Ava, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Clinkingbeard Chapel in Ava with the Revs. John Haskins and Will Havens officiating. Burial was in Whites Creek Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of the Ava area. Mr. Potter died at 9:48 p.m. Oct. 1 at Cox Medical Center in Springfield following a long illness.
He had been a mechanic at Ava R-1 School and was a member of Ava General Baptist Church.
Born Feb. 27, 1956 at Ava, Tony was the son of Ira (Buster) and Naida (Singleton) Potter. He married Cindy Shull April 14, 1976 at Ava.
Survivors include his parents of Route 5, Ava; his wife, Cindy, of the home in Ava; a sister, Mrs. Judy McFarlin, Route 5, Ava; his maternal grandfather, Elmer Singleton, Springfield; and one niece and one nephew.
