| About | Frank Canham died suddenly and unexpectedly at home. The funeral service was attended by 230 loyal friends and family. I am grateful for his friends from ACHS Class 1966 that were there. Thank you! Michael Canham (brother) ACHS Class 1968. |

I don't know if this will ever reach Francis or his loved ones, but I am compelled to express it. When I first met him he went by Francis, not Arthur, or Art, nor Frank, but Francis. That in itself didn't invite association among many of his junior high classmates who were busy trying to find their way, and also wanting to be thought of as "cool" by others. I confess being guilty of belonging to that group as most of my friends and associates at North Junior High came from a group of athletes and cheerleaders. Francis impressed me differently than other of my fellow classmates. He was quiet, and unpretentious, possessing what I thought to be a pure intent to be accepted and included as a friend. I considered him one of mine! I regrettably didn't have much contact with him after junior high, but have always thought of him fondly. I will always be grateful for our association and his influence in helping me learn the invaluable lesson of evaluating others based on the content of their characters, and not simply by how many boxes of social acceptance they checked! R.I.P. MY FRIEND
