Carroll Relihan Ditteaux

Carroll Relihan Ditteaux died on Saturday, March 19, 2011 with her family by her side.
She was born July 13, 1941 in North Carolina to the late J.C. and Lucille Relihan. She spent her youth in Pearson, Georgia, where she graduated from Atkinson County High School in 1958. Carroll moved to Virginia in 1974. She retired in 2000 after 26 years as a property manager. In retirement, she was an active Senior League bowler and won Senior Bowler of the Year in 2008 at Pinboys at the Beach. Annually she participated in family reunions in Fernandina Beach, Florida where she cooked and entertained for her family and Georgia friends.
Her son John Britt Mosher predeceased Carroll in 2006. Her husband, Anthony, her son Andrew Mosher, her daughter Jane Fine and a beloved granddaughter, Hannah Walker, whom she doted on, survives her. Also surviving are two stepsons, Anthony and Mark; a stepdaughter, Marybeth Thompson; along with eight step-grandchildren. Left to cherish her memory are three brothers, Malrie “Buddy” Relihan and wife Billye of Darien, Ga., John Relihan and wife Leah of Brunswick, Ga. George Relihan and wife Kay of Pearson, Ga., several special nephews, a very special niece Kaycee Rucker, and two cherished cousins, Ann Pace and Virginia Batten.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ditteaux will be held at 11:00 A. M. Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. Jerry Worzella officiating. The interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery.
The family will be receiving friends from 5 to 8 P. M. Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga.
In lieu of FLOWERS the family request that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, First Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga., Sentara Hospice in Virginia Beach, Va., or to the charity of one’s choice.
