| About Me | `I was very shy during High School and did not interact with all of my classmates. Many of you may not even remember me. I worked at the Spanish Trace Inn one Summer during High School and also at the Ceramic Plant off of Hwy 31. (The one that made bathroom fixtures) After graduation, I attended HCJC (Henderson County Junior College) and earned an AA degree. I then entered a Marketing program at Stephen F Austin in Nacogdoches. As soon as the draft deferment ended, I quit attending SFA. I married Connie Lowe in 1970. Connie and I meet in Ellisville Mississippi when I was in elementary school. We have been married ever since and celebrate our 37th Wedding Anniversary June 13, 2007. I worked a few odd jobs for a couple years and ended up going to work for Gulf States Telephone Company in Athens. I started as an Installer Repairman and installed residential telephone service. I advanced to a Technician where I installed Business Telephone Systems. I installed many of the Key and PBX Systems all over Athens and the surrounding areas, such as Athens State Bank, First National Bank, Memorial Hospital, East Texas State University, etc. I advanced to a Sales Engineering Position and relocated to Tyler Texas. While in Tyler, Connie completed her BBA at UT Tyler and obtained a CPA License as well. She subsequently became a partner in a Tyler firm. After a few years, I took a promotion and moved to Kansas City. (Actually we moved to Overland Park Kansas, which is south of the city of Kansas City, Kansas and Kansas City Missouri.) While in Kansas, I completed my BBA at Ottawa University and have held several positions in Engineering, Marketing and Sales. I worked for the same company for 35 years, even though the name changed to Sprint. Connie also has obtained a Real Estate License and sold for Prudential in the Overland Park area . On my site, there are pictures of my family as well as of the home we built in 2003. It is constructed of all steel and concrete. Connie and I rarely get back to Athens.
