Tom died of a heart attack suffered in the spring of 1977 while playing basketball in France.
Chuck Lebar '70 said:
Tom was my best friend and doubles partner in tennis. We were undefeated in Cardinal Conference play and made it to the Sweet Sixteen in the state championships. Tom was boisterous, exuberant, and all around larger than life!
