Bernard C. Phillips 53, of Greenfield, passed away December 16, 2007. He was born January 5, 1954 in Indianapolis to Calvin Harvey and Mary Helen Jump Phillips. He graduated from Arlington High School in the Class of 1972 and married Paula R. Mooney June 29, 1985. Bernard worked for Allstate Insurance as a computer analyst for 5 years, retiring in 2003. He previously worked for Chrysler Corp. as a machinist. A lifetime member of Christian Tabernacle, Bernard was a member of the choir and also played the organ. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 20, at 1:30 p.m. at Christian Tabernacle, 802 S. Franklin Rd., with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 22 years, Paula R. Phillips; mother, Mary Helen Brott; and three brothers, Ted, Nathan and Jim Phillips.His father, Calvin H. Phillips, preceded him in death. Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Tabernacle. Final arrangements entrusted to Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel. -

Cheryl Woods. Our sympathy to her family
Cheryl Woods was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 7,
1954. She was the first child of the union of William
H. Woods, Jr. and Florence M. Bowser. Cheryl was
raised in Indianapolis along with her siblings, Brenda,
Erroll (Doug) and Linda. Cheryl was a member of Mt.
Zion Baptist church and accepted Jesus, Our Christ in
1966. Cheryl was educated at Joyce Kelmer
Academy #69, Arlington High School and Indiana
University (IU) in Bloomington, In. Cheryl received a
BS degree in Education from IU in 1977, then became
an elementary teacher for the Indianapolis Public
Schools (IPS) for eight years.
Cheryl also lived in Fort Wayne, Indiana; Cleveland,
Ohio and finally Atlanta, GA. She was know for her
generosity and was always aiding family, friends and
various charitable organizations including Easter Seal,
Special Olympics, MDA, Paralyzed Veterans of
America, National Police & Tropper Association
(NPTA), St. Joseph's Indiana School, Unity Church,
IU Foundation and many others.
Cheryl departed this life on March 27 2015 at the age
of 60, after months of health challenges. She is
survived by her mother and father; her sisters Brenda,
Linda and Yolanda; and her brothers Erroll and Victor
(Pastor, New Unity Church in Indianapolis). She is
also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and

After a short battle from diagnosis and eventual passing from ALS David left a wife, two children and one grand child, David worked over 30 years for the Timkin Company in Canton, Ohio. David was a PhD metallurgist working in the Research Dept there. He retired there in May 2012. And filled his days with such things as he was Ombudsman which he really enjoyed. He was a Big Brother, and loved to play golf. David was finally diagnosed in July of 2013 and died on April 29, 2014, He is missed a lot and especially by his sister Linda class of 1970.

Jeanette Ginther, 61, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 1. She is survived by her husband, John; daughter, Crystala; son, Gabriel and grandchildren, Madison and Caleb. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Vincent Hospice, Indianapolis. Arrangements: Indiana Funeral Care and Crematory .
Jeanette was extremely artistic, working until her death on stained glass projects, as well as creating some beautifully crafted and painted works of art and common objects. She loved participating in rendez-vous', in which people gather to participate in a simpler lifestyle. She was one of my closest friends, and she is missed dearly. - as reported by Kate Kennedy

Kevin C. Goetz - 57 of Dunedin Florida passed away October 24th 2011. A native of Indianapolis Indiana he was born January 5th 1954. He attended school in Indianapolis and graduated from Arlington High School in 1972 and went on to attend St. Petersburg College in Clearwater Florida where he studied aeronautics. Kevin is survived by his wife of 37 years, Laura and two daughters, Adriane Winchester of Cumming Ga. and Kimberly Davis of Dunedin Florida as well as three Grand children, Cooper, Brayden and Kinley Davis, He is also survived by his two brothers Kirk of Largo Fl. and Kerry of Clearwater Beach Fl. Kevin had pursued a long and rewarding career in broadcasting sales and marketing. His other passion besides his family was getting in a good round of golf. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Ryan passed away following surgery. Survived by his wife, two children, two grand children, and two younger sisters. Was a proud Marine serving Crash Fire & Rescue with Marine Air Wing at El Toro Marine Air Station and Santa Ana Air Facility California. Also chosen to serve in Quito Ecuador as a Marine Guard for the American Embassy. Achieved the rank of Sergeant.
Our brother really enjoyed his high school experience. Thank you all if you contributed to his joy.
