Patrick served in the USAF during the Vietnam War. There isn't any info about his personal life, except that he had a nephew who lived in Montana. Ancestry.com shows he was married to Kim M. Dooman in San Diego, but the date is unknown at this time.

A very brief obit can be found at the link below which states: "Patrick was born on August 13, 1953 and passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2011. Patrick was a resident of Guerneville, California."
