Andrianna Kastanek
Class of 1997
2007 is a stellar year for Annie Kastanek. A decade after graduation she is heading for Washington, D.C to clerk for the Supreme Court Justice, Anthony Kennedy. A dream come true along with her marriage to Chris Buzachero on April 21, 2007.
Annie's Supreme Court clerkship appointment comes after years of diligence and academic achievement. After graduating from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, she worked in Manhattan as Debate and Speech coach at NYU. Her debate experience and training during high school and undergraduate school has become the foundation of her career. Annie graduated with her JD 2005 from Northwestern University School of Law, magna cum laude and received the Order of the Coif. She also was named a 2005 Burton Award for Legal Achievement winner for her law review comment, "From Hit Man to a Military Takeover of New York City: The Evolving Effects of Rice v. Paladin Enterprises on Internet Censorship." Only 15 winners were selected nationwide. Annie received the award in a ceremony in the Great Hall of the Library of Congress in Washington, in June 2005.
